Grizzlies 103, Mavericks 97: Jerryd Bayless scored 19 points and fellow reserve Keyon Dooling scored 10 of his 13 in the fourth quarter as visiting Memphis got a season-high 64 points from its bench and won for the fourth time in five games.
Tayshaun Prince added 12 points and Ed Davis collected 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who nonetheless were locked into the fifth seed in the Western Conference playoffs when Denver beat Milwaukee on Monday. Memphis can still get the home-court advantage for the first round by winning its finale and having the Los Angeles Clippers lose one of their last two games.
Dirk Nowitzki poured in 26 points and Vince Carter added 22 off the bench for the Mavericks, who must win their final game Wednesday against New Orleans to avoid finishing below .500 for the first time since the 1999-2000 season.
The Mavericks controlled things early and led 29-21 after one quarter and 46-38 at halftime. But Memphis turned things up in the third quarter, opening the period on a 13-2 run to take the lead.
The Grizzlies led 68-67 entering the fourth and took the lead for good on Dooling's 3-pointer that set off a 9-0 run. Dallas pulled within five in the final minute, but Memphis made five straight free throws to seal it.
