Warriors 100, Mavericks 97:
Klay Thompson scored 27 points and All-Star David Lee came up one assist shy of a triple-double as Golden State held off visiting Dallas to pick up its third straight win.

Lee collected 15 points, a season-high 20 rebounds and nine assists while Jarrett Jack had 13 points and nine assists for the Warriors, who were without leading scorer Stephen Curry for the second straight game due to an ankle sprain.

O.J. Mayo scored 25 points, Vince Carter had 22 off the bench and Shawn Marion recorded 18 points and 17 rebounds as the Mavericks fell to 0-2 on their three-game road trip. Dirk Nowitzki, who scored a season-high 26 points in a loss to Portland on Tuesday, sat out with a right adductor strain in his leg.

Dallas had a chance to grab the lead late but Andrew Bogut blocked Brandan Wright’s shot with 3.8 seconds left. Jack picked up the loose ball and took it the other way before hitting the clinching free throws.

Carter missed a desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer for the Mavericks, who tied the game six times but never led.

Dallas closed the third quarter on a 9-0 run to pull within a point but could not carry the momentum through the stoppage. Golden State opened the fourth on a 12-0 run, capped by Richard Jefferson driving the baseline and coming up on the other side of the basket for a reverse dunk.

But it was the Warriors' turn to go cold from there and they missed their next 11 shots. Darren Collison’s baseline jumper knotted it at 92-92 before Jack finally ended the drought, catching a pass from Lee and draining a 3-pointer to put Golden State back on top.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wright was assessed a technical foul with 3:18 left in the fourth quarter for pulling Bogut down to the floor. … Mavericks C Chris Kaman (concussion) missed his second straight game. … Lee’s double-double was his league-leading 30th of the season. He has 39 rebounds in two games against the Mavericks this season. … Bogut (ankle), Harrison Barnes (calf) and Carl Landry (shoulder) all missed Tuesday’s game for the Warriors but played Thursday.
