Suns 101, Kings 90: Shannon Brown scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half as host Phoenix dominated after the break and picked up its third straight win.
Jared Dudley added 20 points, Marcin Gortat collected 14 and 13 rebounds and Luis Scola had 14 points and 10 assists for the Suns, who had dropped seven in a row before their current stretch.
Jimmer Fredette scored a career-high 22 points off the bench but Sacramento shot just 33 percent in the second half and watched an 11-point lead evaporate in the third quarter.
Phoenix trailed 54-43 at the half but used an 18-4 burst starting the third quarter to grab the advantage. Brown hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored 10 points during the spurt while Gortat added a pair of baskets.
Brown’s layup at the end of the third made it a 74-68 lead heading into the final frame. The Kings climbed their way back within 87-84 with 4:39 left but Dudley hit back-to-back 3-pointers during a 10-0 run to stretch the lead to double figures.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Sacramento has lost five straight overall and four in a row in the series. … Kings G Tyreke Evans (left knee) missed his sixth game in the last 10. He had been removed after 10 minutes in Sunday’s loss to Denver. … The Suns shot 59.5 percent in the second half and went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc after the break.
