Manu Ginobili scored 22 points and the San Antonio Spurs made their last home contest in 3 1/2 weeks a strong one by posting a 108-95 victory over Houston Rockets on Saturday.
Richard Jefferson added 18 points as San Antonio (40-7) played its last home game prior to embarking on a nine-game road trip.
Tony Parker scored 17 points, DeJuan Blair had 14 points and 12 rebounds while George Hill scored 14 points for the Spurs. Tim Duncan added 12 points.
San Antonio shot 51.4 percent from the field, was 8-of-16 from 3-point range and made 24 of 27 free throws.
Luis Scola had 23 points and 10 rebounds for Houston (22-27). Kyle Lowry had 15 points and seven assists for Houston.
Rockets leading scorer Kevin Martin had just 10 points on 4-of-13 shooting and didn’t make a single trip to the free-throw line. He leads the NBA in free throws made with 353.
Houston has lost the first two games of a four-game road trip that continues with games against the Los Angeles Lakers and Utah Jazz.
