Danny Granger had 34 points and Mike Dunleavy had 20, including 10 in the fourth quarter as the Indiana Pacers beat the short-handed Cavaliers 99-85 Saturday night in Cleveland.
The Pacers had lost 16 of their previous 19 meetings to the Cavs, but LeBron James was on the roster for all of those games. The Cavs, who were playing without Mo Williams and Anderson Varejao, have now lost four in a row at home for the first time since March 2-11, 2003 – James’ rookie year.
The Pacers held a slim three-point lead early in the fourth when Granger and Dunleavy hit 3-pointers on consecutive trips down the floor. They controlled the rest of the game.
Roy Hibbert added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Pacers.
Antawn Jamison had 19 points and nine rebounds off the bench to lead the Cavs. Ramon Sessions, starting in place of Williams, had 17 points and five assists and Daniel Gibson had 15 points off the bench. But the Cavs shot just 2-of-15 on 3-pointers, while the Pacers were 10-of-25 on 3s.
