Marwin Gonzalez hit a three-run, go-ahead home run off Josh Hader in the eighth inning, and Mitch Garver also homered as the visiting Minnesota Twins moved back into first place in the American League Central by rallying to defeat the Milwaukee Brewers 7-5 on Tuesday night.

With Minnesota trailing 5-4 with two outs and runners at first and second, Gonzalez clubbed Hader's first pitch 402 feet over the fence in left-center. It was the fourth home run allowed by Hader over five innings in his last six appearances and also his third blown save during that span.

The Twins, who had a streak of 113 consecutive days of spent in first place snapped on Monday when Cleveland defeated Boston, moved back a half-game ahead of the Indians, who lost 7-6 in 10 innings to the Red Sox earlier Tuesday night.

Pinch hitter Ehire Adrianza had a RBI double, and Eddie Rosario had two hits and scored twice for Minnesota, which won for the second time in seven games. Tyler Duffey (2-1) picked up the victory, and Sergio Romo pitched a scoreless ninth for his 19th save.

Yasmani Grandal hit a three-run homer, Keston Hiura went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run, and Manny Pina also had two hits for Milwaukee, which took its second straight loss. Drew Pomeranz (2-10) was charged with the loss after he allowed two runs in one-third of an inning of relief.

Minnesota took a 3-0 lead in the third inning on a two-run homer by Garver and an fielder's choice by Arraez, driving in Rosario, who had walked and advanced to third on a single by Miguel Sano.

Milwaukee cut it to 3-1 in the fourth with an unearned run. Hernan Perez singled, took third on an error by shortstop Jorge Polanco and scored on a fielder's-choice grounder from Lorenzo Cain.

The Twins extended their lead to 4-1 in the seventh when Gonzalez singled, took second on a wild pitch and then scored on a double down the left field line by Adrianza.

The Brewers then took a 5-4 lead in the bottom half off Minnesota reliever Ryne Harper. Hiura led off with a single, and he scored on a line double off the fence in left-center by Christian Yelich. Ryan Braun then reached base on catcher's interference, and Grandal followed with his 20th homer of the season over the right field fence.
