ST. LOUIS -- Another extra-inning game, another walk-off win for the red-hot St. Louis Cardinals.

Second baseman Kolten Wong yanked a one-out solo homer to right-center field in the bottom of the 14th inning Sunday, lifting St. Louis to a 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates and a sweep of their series at sold-out Busch Stadium.

Wong crushed a 1-1 pitch from reliever Radhames Liz (1-2) 421 feet into the Cardinals' bullpen for his second homer of the season, giving them an 18-6 record and their third walk-off win of the weekend.

Reliever Miguel Socolovich (1-0), St. Louis' eighth pitcher, worked a clean 14th for his first major league win.

First baseman Pedro Alvarez hammered a two-out solo homer in the top of the 12th inning to give Pittsburgh (12-13) a short-lived lead.

But center fielder Peter Bourjos evened the score off Liz with a one-out bases-loaded infield hit in the Cardinals' half of the 12th.

Pittsburgh tied the game in dramatic fashion in the top of the ninth as third baseman Jung Ho Kang belted his first MLB homer, ripping the first pitch from closer Trevor Rosenthal 418 feet into the bleachers in left-center field.

As has been the case throughout the series, both starters pitched well but had to settle for no-decisions.

Pirates right-hander Vance Worley gave up only four hits and a run in six innings, walking one and whiffing five. St. Louis' Michael Wacha worked 6 2/3 innings, permitting five hits and two walks while fanning two.

Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter broke the scoring seal in the fourth with a leadoff homer over the center field wall, his fourth of the year. Carpenter left the game following the seventh after experiencing lightheadedness.

Pittsburgh stranded 13 men on base, a day after leaving 18 aboard in a 2-1, 11-inning loss.

NOTES: St. Louis RHP Jordan Walden (right bicep) went on the 15-day disabled list Sunday and was replaced by RHP Sam Tuivailala. In eight games at Triple-A Memphis, Tuivailala hadn't allowed a run in nine innings, giving up just three hits and fanning 12. ... Pittsburgh RF Gregory Polanco collected two hits Saturday, raising his average in day games this season to .455. ... Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said Sunday morning that LHP Tyler Lyons would start Tuesday night against the Chicago Cubs. Lyons is 2-1 with a 2.91 ERA in four starts at Memphis despite allowing 34 baserunners over 21 2/3 innings.
