Brewers 4, Padres 3: Aramis Ramirez homered and Ryan Braun drove in two runs as Milwaukee edged visiting San Diego for its fourth straight win.

Wily Peralta (3-0) allowed three runs - two earned - on six hits in 6 1/3 innings and two relievers bridged the gap to Francisco Rodriguez, who worked around an infield single for his eighth save. Scooter Gennett added an RBI triple and scored for the Brewers.

Andrew Cashner (2-2) was reached for four runs on seven hits and a pair of walks in six innings to raise his ERA to 2.10. Chris Denorfia homered and Yonder Alonso singled in a run for San Diego.

Peralta started the rally himself in the third with a leadoff double and moved to third on a groundout before Gennett lined his triple into the gap in right-center. Braun followed with another drive to right-center but this time Will Venable raced back to make the catch, holding Milwaukee to a sacrifice fly and a 2-0 lead before Ramirez came up next and ripped a 1-0 fastball out to center for a solo blast.

The Padres cut it to a one-run deficit in the next half-inning when Alonso plated Seth Smith with a single and Chase Headley came in on Gennett’s throwing error. Braun’s RBI single plated Carlos Gomez in the fifth, providing enough insurance to survive Denorfia’s opposite-field blast to right leading off the seventh.
