Phillies 4, Braves 0:
Joe Blanton pitched a three-hit shutout, outdueling Randall Delgado as Philadelphia won the rubber game of a three-game series in Atlanta.

Less than 24 hours after his team dropped a 15-13 slugfest, Blanton (3-3) limited the Braves to two base hits in seven innings. Blanton struck out six without a walk.

Delgado (2-3) was nearly as strong in defeat, scattering six hits over eight innings of work. He finished with five strikeouts while not walking a batter.

The Phillies took a one-run lead in the top of the first when Jimmy Rollins led off with a single, moved to second on Juan Pierreā€™s bunt single, took third on a Shane Victorino flyout and scored on a sacrifice fly by Hunter Pence.

Laynce Nix added a solo home run in the seventh inning, and Victorino provided a pair of insurance runs with a blast to right field off Livan Hernandez in the ninth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Blanton had not pitched a complete game since 2007, when he was with Oakland ... Nix is 9-for-20 with five extra-base hits in his last seven games ... RHP Roy Halladay, who pitched Wednesday, was not with the team Thursday for reasons unrelated to baseball.
