Casilla singled three times and doubled, Michael Cuddyer homered and Nick Blackburn (5-4) pitched five innings to win his fourth consecutive decision. It was Casilla's first four-hit night since 2007, and bumped his average to .414 since May 24.
The Twins have won the first three games in the series for their first three-game winning streak since May 17-19.
Alex Gordon and Eric Hosmer each had two hits for the Royals, but Luke Hochevar (3-6) allowed six runs in six innings to extend his winless drought. Hochevar hasn’t won a game since May 1, and has surrendered five or more runs 29 times in 78 career starts.
