Doug Fister and two relievers combined on a seven-hitter as the Seattle Mariners blanked the host Boston Red Sox 2-0 on Saturday night.
Fister (2-3) scattered five hits over 5 2/3 innings as the Mariners won their fifth straight game. Brandon League pitched the ninth inning for his seventh save.
Milton Bradley's double scored Ichiro Suzuki in the third. Bradley was ejected from the game one batter later for arguing a play at first base.
The Mariners (13-15) made it 2-0 in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Jack Wilson which scored Jack Cust, who led off the inning with a single.
John Lackey (2-3) took the loss. He allowed both runs on seven hits as Boston (11-15) left 11 men on base and lost for the fifth time in its last six games.
