Ryan Anderson scored a season-high 30 points and the Orlando Magic used a long-range shooting barrage to extend their winning streak to four games with a 102-93 victory over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Monday.
J.J. Redick added 21 points, including six straight with under three minutes to play as Orlando sent New York to its third consecutive defeat and beat the Knicks for the seventh time in the last eight meetings.
Anderson knocked down a season-high seven 3-pointers on 13 attempts and Orlando connected on 17 of 35 attempts from beyond the arc, including 11 of 18 in the second half to erase a six-point halftime deficit.
Carmelo Anthony returned from a one-game injury absence to pace the Knicks with 33 points, although he struggled from the floor and made just nine of 27 shots.
Hedo Turkoglu (15 points) and Anderson buried back-to-back 3-pointers to put the Magic ahead to stay at 90-85 with five minutes left in the game.
The Knicks were within 94-91 before Redick, starting in place of the injured Jason Richardson, hit consecutive layups and canned a pair of free throws to boost the lead to 100-91 with 55 ticks remaining.
Magic center Dwight Howard was held to eight points and 10 rebounds, halting a streak of nine straight double-doubles against New York.
