Spurs 94, Hawks 92: Tim Duncan collected 17 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks as San Antonio held on for its 17th straight home win over Atlanta.
Tony Parker also scored 17 points to go with seven assists for the Spurs, who have won eight straight and 16 of 17 overall against the Hawks. Manu Ginobili added 12 points off the bench, including five free throws down the stretch to help seal it.
Paul Millsap and DeMarre Carroll scored 17 apiece to lead the Hawks, who haven't won in San Antonio since Feb. 15, 1997. Mike Scott scored 12 points off the bench, and Al Horford added 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Kyle Korver drove for a potential go-ahead bucket with 19 seconds left, but Duncan swatted the shot away for his sixth block and made one of two free throws to make it 92-90. Jeff Teague's runner tied it with 13 seconds left, but Korver fouled Manu Ginobili, who hit a pair of free throws with three seconds left, and the Hawks didn't get a good look at the buzzer.
The Spurs used a 9-0 run in the first quarter and an 8-0 spurt spanning the first and second periods to open a 17-point advantage, but Atlanta scored on its last five possessions of the half to climb within 49-39 at the break. The Hawks trimmed the margin to 68-62 entering the fourth quarter and took their first lead of the game on Horford's jumper with 1:15 remaining.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Duncan has 799 career double-doubles, sixth-most in NBA history. … Korver scored seven points to surpass 8,000 in his career and tied Mike Bibby for 21st in NBA history with 1,517 made 3-pointers. … Spurs PF Tiago Splitter made his season debut but played only 10 minutes and was not on the bench in the fourth quarter due to a calf injury.
