Brandon Crawford's pinch-hit, two-run homer in the ninth inning Sunday afternoon capped the visiting San Francisco Giants' second come-from-behind win in the last three days, a 6-5 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

The Giants fought all the way back from a 4-0, first-inning deficit, 48 hours after stunning the Reds with a late surge for a 12-11 win in a game they trailed 8-0 in the third on Friday.

After Amir Garrett got Mike Gerber to ground out to open the ninth of a 4-4 game, Buster Posey -- who earlier had tied the contest with a three-run homer -- greeted Raisel Iglesias (1-5) with a double to deep left field, setting the stage for Crawford.

Pinch-hitting for winning pitcher Tony Watson (1-0), Crawford sent his first home run of the season over the fence in right field for a 6-4 lead.

Giants closer Will Smith gave up a two-out solo home run to Kyle Farmer, his fifth of the season, before closing out the bottom of the ninth for his ninth save. Farmer's homer was the only hit allowed by four San Francisco relievers in four innings of work.

It took the Reds just seven pitches to grab a 4-0 lead against Giants starter Jeff Samardzija.

After Joey Votto hit Samardzija's third pitch of the game for a single, Eugenio Suarez smacked a two-run homer, his ninth of the year, to right field two pitches later to open the scoring.

Jesse Winker and Derek Dietrich then belted Samardzija's next two offerings for home runs, giving the Reds three homers on three pitches. It was the first time a team homered on three straight pitches since June 12, 2007 when the Dodgers did it to the Mets.

Winker's home run was his ninth of the year. Dietrich also hit his ninth, his fourth through three games of the series.

Samardzija bounced back to retire 15 of the next 16 batters he faced, then left for a pinch hitter in the sixth with the Giants still trailing 4-0. He was charged with four runs on five hits, with no walks and four strikeouts.

Reds starter Luis Castillo took a no-hitter one out into the sixth before the Giants quickly erupted for four runs to tie the game.

After Steven Duggar singled to end the no-hit bid, pinch-hitter Stephen Vogt drew a walk, and Joe Panik got San Francisco on the scoreboard with a single.

Castillo then got a second out, before Posey, who had just one previous home run this season, launched his three-run homer to right, tying the game.

Castillo, who hadn't allowed more than two runs in any of his previous six starts, was charged with four in seven innings. He allowed four hits and two walks, and struck out nine.

Posey had two hits for the Giants, who will look to win their second consecutive road series when the clubs meet for a fourth time Monday afternoon.

Both teams finished with six hits.
