Trevor Lacey scored 21 points and the visiting Crimson Tide staved off a second-half comeback by the Red Raiders to end their three-game losing skid.

Trevor Releford added 17 points for Alabama (7-3), which led by 20 early in the second half. Texas Tech cut the lead to 63-61 with 1:15 left before Levi Randolph scored with 36 seconds left to put the game out of reach.

Jaye Crockett paced Texas Tech (5-3) with 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Jordan Tolbert added 12 points. The Red Raiders used a 16-3 run to cut the lead to 56-49 with 5:21 left, and they trailed by four after Josh Gray drilled a 3-pointer with 2:18 remaining.

Texas Tech shot 37.9 percent from the field and made just three of their 18 shots from 3-point range. Alabama, which shot 51.1 percent, won despite tying a season high with 18 turnovers.

Alabama bounced back from a 73-54 loss at VCU by scoring the first eight points of the game. Crockett cut the Crimson Tide to 65-62 with two seconds left, but Releford answered with a free throw to end the game.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lacey was 8-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. .... The Red Raiders entered the game averaging 80.3 points. … Randolph had seven points after scoring in double figures in four of the last five games.
