Dayton 81, Alabama 76: Kevin Dillard had 25 points and six assists to help the visiting Flyers top the Crimson Tide in a non-conference matchup.
Dayton (6-2) held Alabama to a season-low 37 percent shooting from the floor, including 28 percent (7 of 25) from 3-point range.
Dillard had two 3-pointers in the Flyers' opening 13-2 run. After Alabama rallied to tie the score, Dayton closed the first half with a 10-5 run and never trailed again.
Josh Benson had 19 points, hitting 6-of-7 from the floor, while Vee Sanford added 11 for the Flyers.
Trevor Lacey led the Crimson Tide (6-2) with 16 points. Levi Randolph added 15 while Trevor Releford and Rodney Cooper contributed 13 and 12 points, respectively.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Dayton's 81 points were the most given up by the Crimson Tide this season and the second most scored by the Flyers in 2012-13. … The loss was Alabama's first at home this season and just the 10th home loss for coach Anthony Grant in his four seasons with the Tide. … Dayton returns home to start a four-game homestand on Saturday against Miami of Ohio. Alabama has a full 10 days off before its next game, on the road against Virginia Commonwealth on Dec. 15.
