HEAT 98, PISTONS 75: LeBron James led the way with 26 points and Chris Bosh had a big game as host Miami bounced back from a rare home loss. Detroit has dropped the first two games of its road trip.
Bosh finished with 22 points and nine rebounds and James Jones scored 18 on 6-of-8 shooting from 3-point range for the Heat, who had their 17-game home winning streak snapped in a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.
Miami was without Dwyane Wade due to right ankle soreness but made up for it by locking down on the defensive end and shuffling the offensive responsibilities to James and Bosh.
The Heat took control in the second quarter, getting three 3-pointers from Jones and eight points from Bosh to take a 50-40 lead into the break. James took over in the third, scoring nine points during a 17-5 burst that opened the period.
The Pistons shot just under 45 percent in the first half but fell apart after the break, shooting under 30 percent (11 for 37) in the final 24 minutes.
Brandon Knight scored 16 points to lead Detroit.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Miami F Mike Miller (ankle) returned to the lineup following a 14-game absence and went scoreless on 0-of-5 shooting in 25 minutes off the bench. … The Pistons committed 19 turnovers and 27 personal fouls. … The Heat moved to 10-1 this season without Wade.
