Tony Parker scored 18 of his 24 points in the first half as the San Antonio Spurs used an early spurt and a third-quarter blitz to pummel the visiting Philadelphia 76ers 116-93 on Saturday night for their sixth straight win.

The Spurs jumped on the 76ers early with a 16-0 run midway through the first period for a 29-12 edge. Parker scored seven and Manu Ginobili knocked down a dagger from the arc during the surge.

Philadelphia was within 11 heading into the second period and got eight points – including the last five of the half – from Andre Iguodala to cut a 14-point deficit to 61-52 at the half.

Richard Jefferson capped an 8-0 spurt to start the third quarter with a 3-pointer and a dunk, and the Spurs outscored the Sixers 35-12 in the third to take a commanding 96-64 lead after three periods.

Jrue Holiday scored 16 points for Philadelphia, which fell to 2-8.
