Martin Jones made 26 saves and Evander Kane scored a goal for the third straight game as the visiting San Jose Sharks completed a sweep of their back-to-back with the Anaheim Ducks with a 3-1 victory on Saturday night.
Kevin Labanc and Dylan Gambrell also scored for San Jose, which extended its winning streak to a season-high three games. It was just the second win for Jones since Feb. 15.
Max Jones scored for Anaheim, which dropped its third straight game, getting outscored 14-2 in the process. Ryan Miller finished with 30 saves.
San Jose jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 6:16 mark of the first period on Kane's 11th goal of the season. The score came at the end of a penalty kill for the Sharks when Kane intercepted a puck in front of his own zone and raced up the center of the ice on an odd-man rush before firing a wrist shot past Miller's glove side.
Anaheim twice had a chance to tie it later in the period, but Martin Jones stopped Danton Heinen's point-blank backhand try at the end of a 2-on-1 break, and Max Comtois rang another shot off the goalpost.
The Ducks finally tied it 1-1 at the 5:38 mark of the second period when Max Jones raced past Radim Simek up the right boards before cutting in and firing a wrist shot off the right arm of Martin Jones and inside the left post for his fourth goal of the season.
But San Jose regained the lead just 55 seconds on Labanc's seventh goal of the season, one-timing a wraparound feed from behind the net from Tomas Hertl from the low slot.
Gambrell extended the lead to 3-1 early in the third period when he knocked in a rebound of a Ryan Donato shot through the pads of Martin Jones for his first goal of the season. It was Gambrell's first goal in 29 games, going back to February 2020.
Kane has now scored seven goals and 13 points in the last 10 games.
