DeAngelo Hall intercepted four passes by Jay Cutler and returned one for a touchdown to pace the Washington Redskins to a 17-14 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Cutler finished 26 for 40 passing for 281 yards for the Bears (4-3), who turned the ball over six times.
Chicago got on the board first after forcing a turnover of its own as D.J. Moore returned a Donovan McNabb interception 54 yards for a touchdown.
McNabb (17 of 32, 200 yards) got the Redskins even at 7-7 in the first quarter on a 24-yard scoring pass to Santana Moss.
Washington took a 10-7 lead in the second quarter on a 46-yard field goal by Graham Gano, but Chicago carried a 14-10 edge into the half on a touchdown pass by Cutler to Johnny Knox of 9 yards.
Chicago nearly extended the lead in the early stages of the third quarter. Cutler tried to reach the ball over the goal line from a yard out, but he fumbled and the Redskins recovered. On the Bears’ next possession, Hall picked off a pass along the sideline and returned it 92 yards for the touchdown to give Washington a 17-14 lead.
Matt Forte fumbled to end one Bears’ drive and Hall sealed the contest with his NFL record-tying fourth interception of the game.
