Seton Hall guard Myles Powell had 26 points and four 3-pointers, and Sandro Mamukelashvili had 17 points and seven rebounds as the No. 12 Pirates throttled the host St. Louis Billikens 83-66 on Sunday afternoon.

Quincy McKnight had 12 points and two 3-pointers, and Jared Rhoden had seven points and eight rebounds for the Pirates (3-1), who limited St. Louis to 35.8 percent shooting while showing no ill effects from a last-minute loss to No. 3 Michigan State at home Thursday.

Hasahn French had his first double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Jordan Goodwin had 13 points, and Gibson Jimerson had 12 points and three 3-pointers for the Billikens (3-1), who were held under 80 points for the first time this season.

Powell, who had 37 points against Michigan State, had a 3-pointer when the Pirates pushed their lead to 56-34 three minutes into the second half. Powell was 6 of 18 from the field, 4 of 11 from 3-point range, and made 10 of 12 free-throw attempts. He added six rebounds and three assists.

Seton Hall led by as many as 29 points while avenging a 66-64 home loss to St. Louis exactly a year ago.

The Pirates shot only 40.0 percent from the field but had a 46-38 rebounding edge despite losing two big men to foul trouble. The Billikens, who did not get over 30 percent from the field until late in the game, had a 7:27 scoring drought midway through the second half.

Mamukelashvili and Myles Cale made 3-pointers around dunks by McKnight and Romaro Gill as the Pirates scored the first 10 points. It was 18-3 when Powell, the seventh Pirate to score, made a free throw at 12:51.

Goodwin and Javonte Perkins had seven points apiece, and the Billikens got within eight points twice, but Powell hit two threes and made three free throws when fouled on another 3-point attempt as the Pirates took a 46-31 lead at half.

Seton Hall played its first game since being placed on NCAA probation for tampering regarding Taurean Thompson's transfer from Syracuse. The Pirates remain eligible for the NCAA Tournament.
