Maryland 72, Clemson 59: Sophomore guard Nick Faust scored a season-high 18 points, including four 3-pointers, as the host Terrapins pulled away from the Tigers in the second half.

Jake Layman added 12 points and Shaquille Cleare contributed 10 for Maryland (19-8, 7-7 ACC), which had a season-low eight turnovers. Faust, who also registered three steals and three assists, had not scored in double figures the last seven games.

Devin Booker recorded 16 points to lead the way for Clemson (13-13, 5-9), which has lost five of its last six. Jordan Roper chipped in with 13 points and Milton Jennings added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Tigers, who fell to 1-6 on the road in ACC contests.

Maryland built a 10-point lead in the first half before the Tigers scored 10 of the final 13 to pull within 35-32 at intermission. Charles Mitchell recorded eight points and six rebounds for the Terrapins in the opening 20 minutes.

Maryland broke it open with a 10-0 run in the second half, starting with a Layman 3-pointer and ending with an Alex Len three-point play, to give the Terrapins a 56-40 lead with 11:20 remaining. Len finished with nine points and eight rebounds, and Clemson got no closer than 10 the rest of the way.
