Utah 58, Colorado 55: Jason Washburn finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds and the host Utes held on after nearly blowing a 22-point lead on the same day they honored their late coach Rick Majerus.
Jeremy Olsen chipped in 12 points to lead three other players in double figures for Utah (10-11, 2-7 Pac-12), which bounced back from a 31-point home loss to Stanford on Sunday with its first conference home win.
Spencer Dinwiddie scored a game-high 18 points for the Buffaloes (14-7, 4-5), which saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.
The Utes trailed 23-21 with 4:52 left in the first half, but held Colorado to a pair of free throws over the next 10:40. Martin bookended the 28-4 run with 3-pointers and Washburn added seven points during the stretch as Utah led 48-26 with 12:28 remaining.
The Buffaloes held the Utes without a field goal over the final 10:44, using 3-pointers from Dinwiddie, Andre Roberson and Sabatino Chen to cut the deficit to one on two occasions with less than a minute remaining. But free throws from Jarred DuBois and Glen Dean answered baskets from Roberson and Dinwiddie, who missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer as time expired.
