Highly-touted freshman Quincy Miller scored 17 points as No. 12 Baylor blasted Jackson State, 92-59, in The Ferrell Center.
Quincy Acy added 14 points for the Bears (2-0), who improved to 41-0 all-time against teams from the Southwestern Athletic Conference and notched their 21st straight non-conference home win.
Baylor played their second straight game without talented forward Perry Jones III as he serves the final five games of a six-game NCAA suspension that carried over from last season for accepting improper benefits.
Jones, the Big 12 preseason player of the year, is expected to make his season debut Nov. 29 against Prairie View after sitting out three more games.
The Bears, however, have yet to skip a beat without Jones as Miller continues to live up to advance billing.
Baylor jumped out to a 17-point lead by halftime and led by as many as 35, recording nearly as many steals (11) as Jackson State had assists (13).
Christian Williams finished with 14 points for the Tigers (0-2), who shot a dismal 30 percent from the field in the second game of a brutal stretch in which they will play 10 of 12 games on the road.
