Stephen Curry padded his NBA lead with six 3-pointers in a 28-point performance Saturday night, helping the Golden State Warriors complete a season-series sweep of the Detroit Pistons with a 118-91 shellacking in San Francisco.
Andrew Wiggins complemented Curry with 20 points and Kelly Oubre Jr. had 18 as the Warriors rebounded from a 114-93 loss at Phoenix with their second-largest margin of victory this season.
Jerami Grant had a team-high 18 points for the Pistons, who suffered their most lopsided defeat of the year.
The outcome was never in doubt after the Warriors used balanced scoring to run off to a 64-45 lead at halftime. Wiggins had 14 points while Curry and Oubre chipped in with 13 apiece over the first 24 minutes, with the trio combining for 17-for-27 shooting and 6-for-10 on 3-pointers.
En route to the third win in their last four games, the Warriors led by as many as 12 in the first quarter and 21 in the second before coasting home.
Curry shot 11-for-17 overall and 6-for-8 on 3-pointers to lead to his game-high point total.
Jordan Poole contributed a season-high 16 points to the win, while James Wiseman grabbed a game-high nine rebounds to go with 11 points.
The Warriors outshot the Pistons 52.2 percent to 37.7 percent while coming up four points shy of their previous high margin of victory (31 points), accomplished earlier this month against Sacramento.
Golden State won 116-106 at Detroit in December.
Josh Jackson came off the bench to score 17 points for the Pistons, who were coming off a 107-92 home win over Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
The Pistons haven't won consecutive games all season.
Wayne Ellington, who set a franchise record with at least four 3-pointers in seven consecutive games, shot 0-for-5 from long range and 0-for-6 overall on a scoreless night. He had scored at least 16 points in each game during his run.
The Pistons were limitedto 9-for-36 shooting on 3-pointers, with Grant, Jackson and Rodney McGruder hitting two apiece. With Wiggins and Poole adding to Curry's output with three each, the Warriors outscored the Pistons 51-27 from beyond the arc.
Detroit hadn't lost a game by more than 15 points previously.
