Spurs 112, Thunder 107 (OT): Boris Diaw scored a season-high 26 points and Tim Duncan scored seven of his 19 points in the extra session as visiting San Antonio defeated Oklahoma City to win the Western Conference finals and advance to the NBA Finals for the second straight season.

Kawhi Leonard had 17 points and 11 rebounds, Manu Ginobili added 15 points and four steals and Duncan collected 15 rebounds for the Spurs, who will host Miami in Thursday’s opener in a rematch of the 2013 finals won by the Heat. San Antonio played the second half without point guard Tony Parker (ankle) while halting a nine-game losing streak in Oklahoma City.

Russell Westbrook had 34 points, eight assists and six steals, Kevin Durant had 31 points and 14 rebounds and Reggie Jackson scored 21 points for the Thunder. Oklahoma City’s final points came on Westbrook’s layup with 2:21 to play before Duncan hit two free throws with 1:23 left to give the Spurs a 108-107 lead and added a jumper with 19.4 seconds left as San Antonio closed strong.

The Thunder trailed by 11 points with 10 minutes to play in regulation and eventually tied it at 97 on two free throws by Durant with 58.6 seconds left. Ginobili drained a 3-pointer with 27.1 seconds left to give San Antonio a 100-99 advantage and later split two free throws before Westbrook hit two free throws with 9.3 seconds remaining to force overtime.

Oklahoma City led 49-42 at halftime before news of Parker’s unavailability for the second half surfaced and then San Antonio erupted for 37 points in the third quarter. The Spurs closed the period with nine straight points and Diaw’s jumper early in the fourth gave them an 81-69 advantage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Parker had eight points in 19 minutes in the first half. … PF Serge Ibaka added 16 points and four blocked shots for the Thunder, who committed 20 turnovers that led to 33 San Antonio points. … The Spurs had a resounding 51-5 edge in bench points, led by Diaw’s fourth double-digit outing of the series.
