Nets 104, Heat 95 (2OT): Joe Johnson erupted for 32 points and Brooklyn dominated in double overtime en route to its fifth straight win.

After rallying to force a second OT on Norris Cole's long jumper with 3.3 seconds left - moments after LeBron James fouled out of a regular-season game for just the third time in his career - Miami ran out of steam, getting outscored 11-2 over the final five minutes. Shaun Livingston and Johnson put the Nets ahead on short jumpers and Paul Pierce added a 3-pointer from the right wing with 2:57 left as Brooklyn beat Miami for the second time this season.

Pierce finished with 23 points while Livingston added 19 points and 11 rebounds in the win. James led all scorers with 36 points for the Heat, who scored just six points in the two overtimes combined.

Johnson was a wrecking crew in the opening half, knocking down 11-of-13 shot attempts - including 4-of-5 from 3-point range - as the Nets carried a 53-45 lead into the break. While the Heat kept Johnson completely off the scoresheet in the third, they couldn't contain Pierce - his back-to-back jumpers gave Brooklyn an 11-point advantage with 7:09 left in the quarter, and he tacked on a pair of free throws late as the Nets led 76-64 entering the fourth.

Miami stormed back in the fourth quarter, closing to within a point on Cole's driving layup following Johnson's turnover with just over seven minutes remaining. Cole's 3-pointer from the left wing put the Heat ahead 86-84 with 2:10 left, and the teams exchanged the lead three times over the next minute and a half before the Nets missed two potential game-winning shots on their final possession.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The teams took the unique step of wearing nicknames on the back of their jerseys rather than their last names. Among the notables were James ("King James"), Miami SG Ray Allen ("J. Shuttlesworth") and Nets PF Kevin Garnett ("The Big Ticket"). ... Heat G Dwyane Wade missed the game with general body soreness. ... James had to be restrained with 8:37 left in the fourth quarter after he was corralled by Brooklyn F Mirza Teletovic while sprinting in for a layup.
