Jazz 86, Magic 82: Rookie Trey Burke registered a career-high 30 points and dished out eight assists as visiting Utah rallied from seven down in the fourth quarter to edge Orlando.

Derrick Favors contributed 14 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks while Gordon Hayward scored 15 points, including a big jumper with 1:14 left for an 84-80 lead. Alec Burks chipped in with 13 points off the bench for Utah, which beat the Magic for the sixth straight time.

Jameer Nelson led the way with 17 points for Orlando but missed a driving layup in the final seconds that could have tied the game at 84. Nikola Vucevic recorded 14 points and 14 rebounds while Tobias Harris had 14 and 10, respectively, as the Magic played without leading scorer Arron Afflalo due to illness.

Burke scored eight points and dished out four assists in the first quarter as the Jazz recorded the final six points for a 27-20 advantage. The Magic missed their last nine shots from the floor in the second quarter as Utah scored 10 of the final 12 – eight by Burke – and led 49-39 at intermission.

Orlando battled back to take the lead before Burke and Hayward led an 11-4 run to close out the third quarter as the Jazz took a six-point lead into the fourth. E’Twaun Moore scored eight points as the Magic started the final period with a 14-1 run, but Utah responded with the next nine points and never trailed again.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Burke, who had three points Monday against Miami, also had seven rebounds and only two turnovers in 40 minutes. … Afflalo, averaging 21.6 points, had been the only player to start every game before Wednesday. Harris took his place in the lineup. … Utah won only its second of eight games against Eastern Conference opponents.
