Nuggets 112, Raptors 98: Nate Robinson totaled 23 points off the bench on 9-of-14 shooting, including 5-of-8 3-pointers, to lead visiting Denver over Toronto.
Timofey Mozgov added 16 points and grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds for the Nuggets, who received 72 points from the bench while winning their sixth straight game. Ty Lawson contributed 16 points and dished out six assists for Denver, which shot 50.6 percent from the field.
Rudy Gay had 23 points and nine boards for the Raptors, who dropped their third in a row. Jonas Valanciunas turned in an 18-point, 11-rebound performance for his fourth double-double of the season for Toronto, which has lost five of its last six at home.
Toronto jumped out to a 31-25 lead after one quarter of play, led by 11 points from DeMar DeRozan. Denver clamped down on defense in the second quarter, outscoring the Raptors 22-14 for a two-point halftime lead, as the hosts struggled from the field, connecting on just 36.4 percent in the first half.
After the break, the home squad made a push to regain control, pulling ahead 72-71 on a 3-pointer from Steve Novak with 1:10 left in the period before five straight points sent the Nuggets into the fourth with a 76-72 advantage. In the final stanza, Denver was able to pull away on 18 points from Robinson, including a pair of late 3-pointers that stymied Toronto's comeback efforts.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Denver's win breaks a string of four straight wins for the home team in the series between the Nuggets and Raptors. ...
