Thunder 103, Rockets 94: Kevin Durant scored 27 points and Kevin Martin added 25 as visiting Oklahoma City downed Houston to win the Western Conference series 4-2.
Reggie Jackson added 17 points, eight assists and seven rebounds and Derek Fisher scored 11 points off the bench as the top-seeded Thunder advanced after losing Games 4 and 5. Oklahoma City opens the conference semifinals at home against the fifth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
James Harden scored 26 points and Chandler Parsons added 25 as the two combined for 10 3-pointers for the Rockets. Omer Asik added 13 points and 13 rebounds.
It was a one-point game early in the fourth quarter before the Thunder took over with a 19-5 spurt. Martin, who was acquired in the deal that sent Harden to Houston, slammed home a dunk to make it 99-84 to end the surge and Oklahoma City cruised to the finish.
Martin had 21 first-half points to help Oklahoma City lead 58-54 at the break. Houston used a 12-0 run in the third quarter to take a 10-point edge but the Thunder recovered to hold a 78-77 lead entering the final 12 minutes.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Parsons was 6-of-8 from 3-point range as Houston made 14-of-32 attempts. Oklahoma City was 11-for-27. … The Thunder had a 40-24 edge in points in the paint. … Rockets F Carlos Delfino missed Game 6 after a CT scan revealed he had a broken foot.
