Jazz 90, Grizzlies 84: Gordon Hayward scored 17 points and Al Jefferson added 14 as host Utah handed Memphis its second straight defeat.

Paul Millsap and Mo Williams had 13 points apiece and the Jazz moved within a half-game of the Los Angeles Lakers for the eighth and final playoff position in the Western Conference.

Jerryd Bayless scored 24 points off the bench and Zach Randolph added 19 for the Grizzlies, who had won 13 of 14 games before losing on back-to-back nights to the Denver Nuggets and the Jazz.

Memphis trailed 79-76 after a three-point play by Gasol with 4:24 remaining but Millsap scored five straight points and Hayward drained a 3-pointer to make it an 11-point game with 2:56 left. Bayless scored eight consecutive points to get the Grizzlies within three before Hayward ended the scoring with a 3-pointer with 17.3 seconds remaining.

Randolph had 15 first-half points as Memphis took a 50-45 lead into the break. The Jazz held the Grizzlies to nine points on 2-of-16 shooting in the third quarter and led 69-59 entering the final 12 minutes.
