Wizards 127, Suns 105: Martell Webster scored a career-high 34 points and Emeka Okafor and John Wall notched double-doubles as Washington won its fifth consecutive home game by snapping a 10-game losing streak against Phoenix.
Okafor collected 17 points and 10 rebounds and Wall added 17 points and 11 assists for the Wizards, who shot 51.6 percent en route to a season-high scoring total. Webster was 7-for-10 from 3-point range in becoming the first Wizards player to top 30 points this season.
Michael Beasley scored 21 points and Markieff Morris added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Suns, who had won five straight at Verizon Center dating to Jan. 15, 2005. Phoenix has lost six of seven overall after wrapping up an 0-3 road trip.
The Suns led by two after one quarter, but Washington caught fire in the second quarter and never cooled off. The Wizards went 13-for-23 in the second quarter while outscoring the Suns 39-30 to take a 66-59 lead into halftime.
The Wizards outpaced Phoenix 36-24 in the third quarter and coasted to an easy victory. Washington outscored the Suns 52-42 in the paint despite being outrebounded 48-42.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Webster has scored 17 or more points in each of the past five games. His previous high was 28 points, achieved twice in 2010. … The Suns dropped to 4-12 in the second game of back-to-back sets and have been swept 10 times. … Washington has won 12 of its last 19 after an 11-35 start.
