Jazz 100, Bucks 86: Al Jefferson finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds to help Utah continue its home dominance over Milwaukee.
Paul Millsap scored 19 points and Enes Kanter had 17 off the bench for the Jazz, who picked up an 11th consecutive win over the Bucks at EnergySolutions Arena.
Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova scored 17 points apiece for the Bucks, who shot 35.4 percent in losing on consecutive nights of a brief two-game road trip. Samuel Dalambert had 10 points and 11 rebounds while starting for injured center Larry Sanders.
Utah took control for good with an 11-0 run in the second quarter. Millsap hit back-to-back jumpers and Randy Foye closed the spurt with a layup for the 49-37 advantage with two minutes left before halftime.
The lead only continued to grow in the second half. Derrick Favors’ free throw capped a string of six unanswered points to put the Jazz ahead 78-62 early in the fourth. Dalembert trimmed the deficit to 90-81 with a pair of free throws with 3:24 remaining, but Millsap answered with a bucket on the other end to dash any hopes of a comeback.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Sanders did not play because of a bruised back, suffered Tuesday against the Denver Nuggets. He is day to day. … The Jazz were again without guards Mo Williams (thumb), Earl Watson (leg) and Gordon Hayward (shoulder) because of injuries. … The win was Utah’s fourth straight in the series.
