Grizzlies 85, Bulls 82 (OT): Marc Gasol collected 19 points and eight rebounds while Zach Randolph added 13 and 19 as visiting Memphis outlasted shorthanded Chicago.
Gasol and Randolph combined for seven of Memphis' nine points in the extra period, as the Grizzlies prevented Chicago from winning a season-high fourth straight game. Rudy Gay added 16 points and eight rebounds and Mike Conley had 13 points and nine assists for the Grizzlies.
Carlos Boozer recorded 17 points and 14 rebounds for the Bulls, who were without leading scorer Luol Deng because of a strained right hamstring. Jimmy Butler started in Deng's place and scored 16 of his career-high 18 points after the first half.
The Grizzlies used a 13-0 run late in the second quarter to take control and carried a 44-34 lead into halftime. The margin grew as wide as 17 points and remained in double digits until Butler scored eight points during a 10-0 run to get the Bulls within 60-55 with 10:23 left.
Nate Robinson's banked 3-pointer put the Bulls up 75-72 with 1:32 left in regulation, but he missed a shot at the buzzer to send Chicago into overtime for the third straight game.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Grizzlies were 0-for-5 from 3-point range, the first time they did not make a 3-pointer in a game since March 27 against Minnesota. … Bulls C Joakim Noah checked out with 5:52 left in the third quarter and Chicago trailing 52-36. He was not reported as injured but did not return. … Boozer has recorded a double-double in five consecutive games and 11 of the last 12.
