Nuggets 112, Spurs 106: Danilo Gallinari scored a season-high 28 points to lead six Denver players in double figures as the team extended its home winning streak to five games.

Kenneth Faried had 19 points and 11 rebounds while Corey Brewer added 16 points off the bench for the Nuggets, who nearly squandered a 15-point fourth-quarter lead before posting their third straight victory.

Tim Duncan collected 31 points and 18 rebounds for the Spurs, who have dropped four in a row on the road for the first time since the start of the 2011-12 season.

With Denver enjoying a comfortable 98-83 advantage with nine minutes to play, San Antonio began to chip away. Duncan scored four points to highlight a 9-0 run and Patrick Mills drilled his career-best fifth 3-pointer to bring the Spurs within five at 100-95.

San Antonio closed to within three on two occasions but missed four consecutive shots in the final minute before falling.

GAME NOTEBOOK: San Antonio G Manu Ginobili returned following a one-game absence with a bruised left quad. He finished with 16 points. ... Denver enjoyed a 33-17 edge in rebounding during the first half and a 29-9 edge in fast-break points for the game. ... After draining a long-range jumper to give Denver a 46-44 advantage, Gallinari scored five more points as the Nuggets finished the second quarter on an 11-4 run to take a 55-48 lead.
