Luis Scola scored 14 points off the bench and fellow reserve Jared Dudley added 11 for the Suns, who improved to 2-5 on the road by winning the second game of a six-city road trip.
Anderson Varejao scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for his sixth consecutive double-double for the Cavaliers, who have lost four straight and 10 of 11.
The Suns scored the first seven points of the game and led 37-32 at halftime. Cleveland rallied to take the lead in the third quarter, but Phoenix reeled off a 12-0 run to close the period and coasted from there.
Dion Waiters had 16 points and seven assists while Alonzo Gee added 12 points for the Cavaliers, who were just 2-of-15 from 3-point range.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Suns have won five of the past six meetings, including both this season. … Cleveland PG Kyrie Irving missed his fifth consecutive game with a hairline fracture in his left index finger. Teammate and fellow G Daniel Gibson sat out with a sore right elbow. … Cleveland's Tyler Zeller scored two points on 1-of-4 shooting in 20 minutes and Phoenix's Luke Zeller was 0-of-1 and was held scoreless in four minutes in the first meeting between the rookie brothers.
