Nuggets 102, Warriors 91: Andre Iguodala scored a season-high 29 points and Danilo Gallinari added 20 as host Denver won its third consecutive game.
Ty Lawson added 18 points and nine assists as the Nuggets held the Warriors to 38 second-half points while improving to 3-1 at home.
David Lee had 21 points and 10 rebounds for his sixth straight double-double for Golden State, which lost for just the second time in six games. Carl Landry scored 19 points, Jarrett Jack tallied 17 and Klay Thompson added 16 for the Warriors.
Denver trailed 53-47 at halftime before opening the second half with 15 straight points. Iguodala had nine points during the surge on two 3-pointers and a three-point play.
The Nuggets led 78-70 after three quarters and again started strongly in the fourth. Iguodala’s dunk culminated a 13-4 run that gave Denver a 91-74 lead with 7:28 left, and the Nuggets maintained a comfortable advantage down the stretch.
Thompson scored all 16 of his points in the first half, when he made four 3-pointers. The Warriors trailed by five early in the second quarter before embarking on a 10-2 run.
Denver’s Kenneth Faried collected 11 rebounds for his ninth double-digit performance of the season. Golden State had a 45-39 rebounding edge and lost for the first time this season when outrebounding an opponent.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Golden State guard Stephen Curry was scoreless until sinking a 3-pointer with 3:20 left. He finished with just six points after averaging 26.0 over his previous three games. … Iguodala has two 20-point outings this season. He had 22 points against the Miami Heat on Nov. 3. … Warriors rookie Harrison Barnes was plagued by foul trouble and had just four points in 15 minutes. … Corey Brewer recorded four of Denver’s nine steals.
