ROCKETS 99, BULLS 93: Goran Dragic scored 21 points and Luis Scola had 18 points and 12 rebounds as Houston stunned host Chicago.
Chase Budinger and Courtney Lee scored 13 points apiece and Marcus Camby had 12 points and 11 rebounds as the Rockets rallied from a 13-point, third quarter deficit.
Luol Deng scored 24 points for the Bulls, who lost back-to-back games in the regular season for the first time since Feb. 5-7, 2011. The 86-game streak without consecutive losses was the second-longest in NBA history behind the Utah Jazz, who went 95 games from Nov. 22, 1997 through March 19, 1999.
Chicago committed 19 turnovers and also blew a 15-point first-half lead.
The Rockets trailed 62-52 midway through the third quarter before recording 10 straight points and tying the contest on Camby’s basket with 3:02 left in the stanza.
Houston took a 71-70 lead on a basket by Earl Boykins with nine seconds remaining in the quarter and then scored the first seven points of the final period.
Budinger scored nine straight Houston points on 3-pointers to give the Rockets an 84-72 lead with 9:18 to go.
Houston’s lead topped out at 89-75 on a 3-pointer by Boykins with 7:33 remaining. Chicago responded with a 13-3 run and pulled with 92-88 on Deng’s basket with 1:10 remaining.
Carlos Boozer had 16 points and 13 rebounds and Joakim Noah added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Bulls.
Chicago shot 55 percent in the first half and led by as many as 15 points en route to a 51-40 lead at intermission. The Bulls increased their advantage to 59-46 on Deng’s three-point play four minutes into the third quarte
