Lou Williams scored 14 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter as the Philadelphia 76ers rallied for a 95-90 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.
Williams erupted for 10 points in a 2 1/2-minute span to ignite a 14-2 spurt that turned an 86-79 deficit into a 93-88 lead with 1:17 to play as Philadelphia won for the sixth time in their last seven games.
Jrue Holiday and Andre Iguodala added 13 and 12 points, respectively, to help the 76ers snap a four-game skid against the Lakers, who had won their four previous visits to Philadelphia.
Kobe Bryant scored 28 points and became the fifth-leading scorer in league history, but managed only four points from the midway point of the second quarter as the Lakers dropped their second straight.
Philadelphia committed only four turnovers and forced 16 to overcome the punishing inside game of Los Angeles, which got 20 points and 20 rebounds from center Andrew Bynum - his fourth straight double-double.
Forward Pau Gasol added 16 points and 11 rebounds to help the Lakers manhandle the 76ers on the backboards 55-30.
Bryant entered the game trailing Shaquille O'Neal by 23 points for fifth on the career scoring list, but passed his former teammate by hitting a jumper with 5:08 left in the first half, giving him 28,597 points.
The Lakers were without coach Mike Brown, who was suspended one game and fined $25.000 for bumping a referee in Saturday's loss at Utah. Assistant John Kuester guided the team.
