Tim Duncan scored 19 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 93-81 win over the New Orleans Hornets at the AT&T Center on Thursday.
San Antonio (15-9) improved to 12-1 at home and picked up its ninth win in the last 11 meetings with New Orleans (4-19), which dropped its fourth straight game.
Duncan swatted away a shot from Carl Landry before burying a jumper from the top of the key, part of a 19-8 run for San Antonio in the fourth quarter. Duncan added nine rebounds.
Tony Parker and Tiago Splitter turned up the heat in the fourth quarter, putting the Hornets on their heels. Parker finished with 18 points and seven assists while Splitter scored 16 points off the bench.
Greivis Vasquez, making just his second NBA start, scored 16 points for the Hornets while Landry led the team with 17 points off the bench.
San Antonio, playing its fourth game in five nights, shot just 4 for 19 from beyond the arc.
New Orleans got a surprise 11 points from reserve guard Marco Belinelli.
