George Hill poured in 22 points and added five steals as the Indiana Pacers overcame the ejection of Danny Granger to post a 95-90 win over the host Toronto Raptors on Friday night.
Former Raptors draftee Roy Hibbert added 15 points and nine rebounds as the Pacers (8-3) beat the Raptors (4-8) for the second time in as many meetings.
DeMar DeRozan scored 14 of his 23 points in the first quarter for Toronto, which was without leading scorer Andrea Bargnani (strained calf).
With the score tied at 88 in the final minute, David West put Indiana ahead on a short jumper with 54 seconds remaining. Toronto's Amir Johnson answered with the tying basket on an Ed Davis feed, but West went to the line on the following possession and hit one of two free throws.
West's miss on the second attempt was snagged by Indiana's Tyler Hansbrough, who was quickly fouled. He made both free throws to make it 93-90, and Toronto's Jamaal Magloire missed two foul shots at the other end to effectively ice the game.
The Pacers rallied in the second half despite playing without Granger, who was ejected in the second quarter after picking up his second technical foul for staring down Davis following a blocked shot.
After whittling a 16-point first-half deficit to five, the Pacers kept pace with the Raptors before finally evening things at 65 on a Paul George layup with 40 seconds left in the third. The teams exchanged several leads throughout the final period.
