Kevin Durant scored 29 points and Russell Westbrook added 12 of his 26 in the decisive third quarter as the Oklahoma City Thunder topped the visiting Los Angles Clippers 112-108 on Wednesday night.
Westbrook finished with seven rebounds and seven assists and Kendrick Perkins corralled a season-high 17 rebounds - including a career-high 10 offensive boards - as the Thunder (52-26) clinched the Northwest Division championship.
Rookie phenom Blake Griffin had 35 points and 11 rebounds for the Clippers ( 31-48).
The Thunder took a five-point lead into the third when Westbrook went to work and Durant added seven points, including four during an 8-0 run, as Oklahoma City pushed its lead to 87-77 entering the fourth.
The Thunder controlled the fourth until a late run got the Clippers within 108-106 with 13 seconds left , but Durant drained two free throws to keep the Thunder clear.
The Clippers outshot the Thunder 56.4 percent to 40.4 percent in the first half and Griffin scored 20 points, but the Thunder led 58-53 on the strength of nine offensive rebounds by Perkins and 12 forced turnovers.
