LeBron James scored 22 of his 33 points in the first half and Dwyane Wade snapped a long 3-point drought in the fourth quarter as the Miami Heat won their sixth straight game, a 111-98 victory over the host Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
James made 12-of-20 shots - including three 3-pointers - and added nine rebounds and seven assists as the Heat (15-8) posted their fourth win this season against an above-.500 team but first on the road. They avenged a 116-114 home loss to the Jazz on Nov. 9 in which they squandered a 22-point lead.
The Heat turned to a long-range barrage early in the fourth quarter, draining five 3-pointers in the first seven minutes – including two by Wade – to increade a one-point lead to 92-83. They were the first 3-pointers in eight games for Wade, who scored 28 points on 9-of-14 shooting.
A pretty alley-oop pass from Wade to James followed by James' tip-in of Wade's miss provided a 102-90 bulge with 2:45 left.
Al Jefferson scored 19 of his 25 points in the first half for the Jazz, who had won eight of nine and were playing their fifth game of a six-game homestand. Deron Williams added 21 points and 12 assists for Utah.
