John Salmons scored 17 points as the Milwaukee Bucks, eliminated from playoff contention an hour earlier, stunned the host Miami Heat 90-85 on Wednesday night.
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and Corey Maggette added 14 points apiece as the Bucks (32-45) snapped the Heat's three-game winning streak and dropped them one-half game behind Boston for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.
LeBron James scored a game-high 29 points and Chris Bosh had 16 for Miami (54-24), which was playing without injured All-Star guard Dwyane Wade.
The Heat trailed by as many as 14 points in the second quarter, but appeared ready to take control by forging a four-point lead less than two minutes into the fourth quarter.
The Bucks wouldn't go away, getting 3-pointers from Brandon Jennings and Carlos Delfino in a 10-2 run to regain the lead at 83-79 with 1:46 to go.
A three-point play by James cut the deficit to one before Delfino buried another 3-pointer with 24 seconds left for an 86-82 lead.
Milwaukee's postseason chances ended earlier in the night when Indiana routed Washington.
