Kevin Durant had 24 points and nine rebounds, and James Harden added 22 off the bench in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 104-94 home victory Friday over the Detroit Pistons.
The Thunder (41-23) scored 13 points in the final 2:44 of the third quarter to take an 86-75 lead into the fourth. Harden’s 3-pointer with 10:15 to play gave the Thunder an 18-point cushion and they cruised to their fifth win in their last six games.
The top two scorers for the Pistons (23-43) came off their bench, with Richard Hamilton contributing 20 points and Rodney Stuckey adding 16.
The starters combined for just 46 points for Detroit, which lost for the fourth time in five games.
Serge Ibaka had 16 points and eight rebounds and Russell Westbrook chipped in 14 points and 11 assists for Oklahoma City, despite shooing just 5 of 14 from the floor.
