Padres 5, Rockies 2: Nick Hundley laced a three-run double to break open a tied game in the seventh as host San Diego rallied to compete a three-game sweep.
Hundley, given the day off behind the plate on his 30th birthday, got a chance as a pinch hitter with the bases loaded and ripped an 0-2 sinker from Wilton Lopez into the left-field corner. All the runs were charged to Roy Oswalt (0-5), who was tagged for a total of five on four hits in 3 1/3 innings.
The rally made a winner of Nick Vincent (4-2), who allowed one hit in a scoreless seventh. Huston Street worked a perfect ninth for his 29th save as San Diego won for the fifth time in six games and pulled even with Colorado for third place in the National League West.
The Rockies took a 2-0 lead on RBI doubles by Michael Cuddyer in the third and Jordan Pacheco in the fourth. San Diego got one back on Rene Rivera's sacrifice fly in the fifth and used a pair of singles and two walks to tie it against Oswalt before Hundley's big blow.
Colorado starter Chad Bettis struck out four and allowed two hits over three scoreless innings before giving way to Oswalt. San Diego right-hander Ian Kennedy struck out seven while yielding two runs - one earned - on five hits over five frames.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Oswalt's single in the seventh was his first hit since Aug. 7, 2011. … Colorado CF Dexter Fowler missed his second consecutive game with a sore left knee. … The Rockies continue a nine-game road trip with three in San Francisco starting Monday, while San Diego has a day off before beginning a 10-game trek at Philadelphia on Tuesday.
