Brendan Ryan went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Mariners, who went 5-1 on their six-game road trip and have won seven of eight overall.
Bedard (3-4) produced his fifth consecutive strong effort, allowing six hits and one walk with four strikeouts. The lefthander is 3-0 with a 1.09 ERA over his last five outings, after losing his first four starts of the season.
Seattle reliever David Pauley tossed two scoreless innings, and Brandon League worked a perfect ninth for his 12th save in 15 opportunities.
Gutierrez ignited a two-run rally in the second inning by drawing a leadoff walk from Brian Duensing (2-5) and scoring on Adam Kennedy's double. He gave Seattle a 3-0 lead when he opened the fourth with his first home run of the year.
Duensing surrendered three runs and four hits in seven innings. The southpaw fell to 0-5 in his last five starts and is winless since April 23.
Alexi Casilla had two hits for the Twins, who have lost nine of 10 at home.
