No. 2 Louisville 80, Miami (Ohio) 39: Russ Smith scored 23 points and the host Cardinals used a 23-2 run midway through the first half to spark another easy win.
Smith connected on 8 of 15 shot attempts and hit 5 of 7 3-pointers. Wayne Blackshear scored 14 points while Gorgui Dieng added 11 for Louisville (3-0). The Cardinals' wins over Miami, Manhattan and Samford have been by a combined 95 points.
Bill Edwards and Geovonie McKnight led Miami (1-2) with seven points apiece. The RedHawks shot 14-of-47 from the field.
Dieng's basket with 13:02 left in the half gave Louisville a 12-10 lead and began a 10-0 run. Following a Miami basket, the Cardinals scored the next 13 points to take a 33-12 lead with 4:04 remaining.
Louisville led 39-17 at halftime and scored the first 10 points of the second half. The RedHawks didn't reach double figures in the second half until Reggie Johnson hit a 3-pointer with 7:04 remaining in the game.
