Jordan Taylor scored 15 points and fueled a big second-half surge as Wisconsin pulled away for a 77-57 victory over visiting Northwestern on Wednesday.
Taylor made three consecutive 3-pointers to begin a 17-2 barrage that put the Badgers (15-5, 4-3 Big Ten) comfortably in front 55-38 with 13:51 to go.
Northwestern (12-6, 2-4), which had shot 55 percent during a tight first half, went 0-for-4 with a turnover during the decisive run and made only 7-of-23 shots (30 percent) in the final 20 minutes.
Wisconsin did almost all of its damage from the outside, hitting 11-of-22 from behind the arc. Taylor made all four of his 3-point attempts in the second half.
Ryan Evans led the Badgers with 17 points and nine rebounds, with all but two of his points coming after halftime. Mike Bruesewitz kept Wisconsin in it early by scoring 12 of his 13 points in the first half.
John Shurna and Drew Crawford scored 19 and 17 points, respectively, to pace the Wildcats, who have lost their last 14 games at Wisconsin.
