Darrin Williams' tip-in with 24 seconds left lifted Illinois-Chicago to a 57-54 upset of No. 14 Illinois Saturday at the United Center in Chicago.
The loss ended a seven-game win streak for the Fighting Illini, which fell to 10-2.
The Flames (5-7), who snapped a four-game skid, tied the game at 51-51 on Paul Carter's 3-pointer with 2:51 remaining. Williams' tip-in gave the Flames a 55-54 lead, then they added two points at the foul line.
Robo Kreps led the Flames with 15 points. Demetri McCamey paced Illinois with 16 points, while D.J. Richardson added 13.
